This is a follow up to the IE bug reported a few days ago, that has been in circulation for months, and (hopefully) finally closed today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/security\/bulletin\/ms13-008\">Microsoft&#8217;s security bulletin<\/a> lists the affected software and reasons behind the patch, and below the post includes links to dozens of patches (per OS, version of IE, etc.). <\/p>\n<p>Be sure you&#8217;re installing the correct version for your version of IE and your OS.  The easiest way to do this is to use <a href=\"http:\/\/www.update.microsoft.com\/windowsupdate\/v6\/thanks.aspx?ln=en&#038;&#038;thankspage=5\">Windows&#8217; Automatic update service<\/a>, but if you need to you can also check them manually.<\/p>\n<p>To see the version of Windows you&#8217;re running, you can follow the advise of Dave Taylor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.askdavetaylor.com\/how_to_figure_out_version_microsoft_windows_running.html\">here<\/a>.<br \/>\nTo see the version of IE you&#8217;re running, follow the quick steps in <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/b\/securitytipstalk\/archive\/2012\/06\/28\/how-do-i-know-if-i-m-running-the-newest-version-of-internet-explorer.aspx\">this MSDN blog post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>IE has always been one of the browsers with the most security flaws in it.
